Club 91 on KCPR - Spring Quarter Kick-Off with Andrew Westby Back on Deck!

It's a new quarter at KCPR, and with it comes Club 91 back in full force.

And operating on full force this week is Andrew Westby, who's already made several trips to the station for previous shows. It's another three-hour selection made for bangin' and dancin' until you can stand no more.

Check the Club 91 Facebook Page. You'll find photos and videos of Westby and friends having fun during the mix.

There are more goods on the way, so add yourself to the Club 91 Page to keep up-to-date!

Club 91 on KCPR with a Quartet of DJ's!

We've really outdone ourselves. Not only was it the first time in the history of our mix show did we manage to get over two DJ's spinning in one week, but we have four DJ's! Yes, it was quite a bit to handle, but in the end things worked out great.

We have locals Fatty Knuckles, DJ Lytic and Groovemunk doing it, and at the end it was the return of original Club 91 host Loco, traveling back to his old stomping grounds from the Bay Area.

It was a great night and a lot of fun; hope you enjoy the show!

Club 91 on KCPR: Last Mix of 2010 with Sean Crandal

DJ Sean Crandal is back, and he brings with him a lot of heavy hitters he's recently added to his music collection. We thought that it made for a fitting end to our little dance mix show for 2010. Keep you eyes and ears open for more mix-heavy goodness with guest DJ's galore on Club 91 on KCPR beginning in January.

Happy New Year!

Club 91 on KCPR with Andrew Westby Back in Action

Lady Sween, our originally-scheduled guest DJ, sent word that she wasn't able to make the trip from Santa Barbara. But no worries; we'll reschedule her appearance for January 2011. Stay tuned for more info on that one.

Meanwhile, big ups to Andrew Westby for filling in for a second appearance this quarter to the KCPR studio. The man who is now the face of Stillwater Records comes correct, fresh off of his gig at Take Me There last weekend.

So have fun listening to the show, and thanks for your support as ever. Back at you next week. Be sure to hit up the show's fan page to keep up with the goings on.

Peace.

Club 91 on KCPR with Velanche in the MIx

Ah, the best-laid plans.

Due to some scheduling snafus, the guest DJ that I thought I had scheduled for this week didn't get the notice of said changes. Last week's DJ, Nikoo, was going to take the spot this week, but got bumped up a week when the DJ originally scheduled for that date backed out.

So instead of me starting off with a one-hour set, you'll have me for three. In the end, things worked out nicely. I think the set and the music selection are pretty solid, so I hope you enjoy the tunes and the mix. There's no playlist this week, but there were bunches of unreleased goodies included in my set.

Thanks to all of the listeners supporting the show. Do tell your friends to add themselves to the show's Facebook Page, and do subscribe to the podcast to cop the show every week. Otherwise, don't forget to click on the title link above to download this week's broadcast.

Back next week with guest DJ Athelias, as well as co-host Johnny. Have a good week, wherever you are in the world.

Peace.

Club 91 on KCPR with Guest DJ Andrew Westby

On last night's Club 91 dance mix show, DJ Andrew Westby made his third appearance on the show, turning in a 2-hour set of house goodness. In addition to his various DJ endeavors, he has helped resurrect local record label Stillwater Records, recently signing on local DJ Michael St. Patrick (who took the Club 91 stage last month). Expect some mix CDs from them both in the near future, with more plans in development.

Before his set, I had a one-hour set to get things started.

I hope you enjoy this week's show; check out the show's Facebook Page for information on upcoming guest DJs and more. Thanks for listening, and please tell your friends about the show! Oh, and don't forget that the show is now available as a podcast. Subscribe for free via the iTunes Store.

Peace.

Paul Johnson's Cousin Believes in Lost Angels

In keeping with the Chicago theme, I've been meaning to let this blend loose. I ripped this record a while back since it's always been a personal favorite of mine and used the instrumental accordingly. There isn't much else to say other than to relish your cloudy days with it. On the real though, I think I'm still riding off the inspiration I got after soundclashing with some gay dude at an intersection blasting some played out Erick Morillo edit of Lady Gaga. But yeah, house music is a feeling so enjoy this.

Velanche's September 2010 Decknician's Mix

Wow, has it been the longest minute or what?! It's been damn near forever since I've posted here, but Loco ended up roping me back on to help fulfill his wish of having all four of us put out summer mixes. Let me tell you, these days in San Luis Obispo it's anything but summery!

In any case, I've just finished a new mix. It takes a lot for me to record a mix; I owe a few of them. But to record two mixes within one week is quite the feat for me. Yes, there's another mix I've just done that's on my DJ/radio show site. I will post the link after the playlist and link for this one.

Speaking of which, without further ado....

Feelin' real deep

I did up this mix as a result of my undying love for house music. Not just any house music, but that real, deep, sexy ish. While most people either are haters or have associative tendencies to this epic musical genre, pause, I still ride for it. Cop this mix and put it on blast if you're a believer.
