Sexual Eruption

Holy shit, Mawkus told me to check this out and it's been eating my brain away. Sexual Eruption (Sensual Seduction for the radio) is some slick Snoop shit on Prince-Biter status. The auto-tune vocals? Girls love that shit. That butter beat (w/ 808s on the breakdown it sounds like?)? Peanut Butta fo' sho. The video is ridiculous and even has that 70s vibe to it. If Snoop does more of this slickness, who knows what other rappers are gonna start doin. All I know is if you don't smell a remix for this track, you need a checkup. The 12" better have an acappella. Since Mawkus is all up on DJ Benzi's balls, I should mention that Benzi has an edit up on www.low-bee.com (among other sites most likely) with drums over the intro and a shortened up track over all. Go on...get a nice bottle of wine, roll that broccoli, get your jimmy hats, and have yourself a Sexual Eruption with your lady. Sizzlin....

Club 91 - Another Mix Loaded Late!

What can I say? I just seem to be getting busier and busier.

But after going two shows without recording them (finding out after-the-fact), another Club 91 mix has finally arrived. Not a perfect mix mind you, but I really enjoyed this mix. After the show was over, I must have listened to it three times more during the rest of the weekend. Also, a nice surprise came today in the form of a compliment from a Club 91 listener who wrote in the guestbook for my Urban Landscapes Radioshow. He was especially taken with one of the tunes that I only heard that day off of a record that was sitting in my room for about a few months. I do agree with him that the tune in question was a really good one, and I don't know what the heck I never played it before, much less heard of it.

Anyway, it's time for the rest of you to have a listen. Hope you enjoy it!

Download the show, or listen via the player below.

"Your mom is so ugly, she goes to UCSD."

So I haven't updated in a while seeing as how school has devoured my life. But because of this, I've somehow managed to still keep up with my mixtape-listening game. If there's one thing I do on a daily basis, it's just straight up listening to mixtapes. I'm a fiend for this shit, real talk. Albums and singles are always there but mixtapes are something special. I can go on about this shit. Anyway, I recently re-discovered this mixtape I would sneakily listen to at work back in the day, when I wasn't helping customers find the latest Lil' Rob album. The tracklist of this mixtape is deep. I'm talkin' Jodeci, R. Kelly back when he was R. Kelly & The Public Service Announcement, Teddy Pendergrass, SWV, Delfonics, etc. I could keep going on but you guys just need to cop this mixtape and listen to it with your lady. It's hosted by Alicia Keys which adds unique flavor compared to all the other heavily plugged mixtapes. G-Unit Radio Part 2033? They made too many. Their shit was weak. Lil' Wayne mixtapes? Those pass, I guess...

Here's the mixtape I had on heavy rotation this summer. The remixes and edits Benzi does just blow my mind. Dude hustles the industry like no one else. For all you aspiring DJs that wanna get their grind on in the top 40 mainstream game, get on his DJ service. It's the realest DJ service out there. Here's some cuts off this mixtape.

Modjo - Lady (Mano Remix)

RBL Posse - Bammer Weed (Superfriendz Remix)

Swizz Beats - Money in the Bank (Benzi Refix)

Oh yeah and if you're near a computer Friday night (between 8-10pm PST), listen to my radio show online broadcast from UCSD's station, KSDT. First hour will be all the deep, bobbleheaded music. Purple turtle! The other hour will be that party music.

BAM BAM SLAMMER!

I'll be DJing this Saturday, November 3 at Phantasmagoria. Located @ 1275 Connecticut Street here in SF. My set is from 12-1am. Hosted by my roommate Dr. Spook who will also be spinning. It should be off the hook! I won't be spinning Psy-Trance, but I will be bringing it hard in the Groove/Chillout/ Breaks room. Here's the link to Dr. Spooks website of wonders and more flyer information: http://geomagnetic.tv/events/Phantasmagoria7.html

Come check me out!

Don Vito... oh how you're ugly. But you would have made a great Halloween costume! I like the old dudes in the background of this last pictures. Collegehumor.com, you're the bane of the anti-frat boy. Speaking of which, I visited San Luis Obispo for the Halloween weekend. I was the guest DJ this week on Club 91 and let me tell you, it felt great. Its that feeling when you ride a bike for the first time after years of neglect. Its that feeling you get when you buy new wax (@ Boo Boo Records) knowing that you just got the last records in the whole damn town. Its that feeling you get when you throw down the track that makes the sweat start dripping from the walls and people raise their hands in the air. KCPR has relocated to a state of the art facility with all new digital recording, monitoring, and broadcasting equipment. We even got new computers in the waiting room. I can't wait for Club 91 to have more and more guest djs so that they can get their sound heard in the central coast.

Here are some artists from my set last saturday. Below the pics are two link options for download. Comment or shoot me an email and I'll work up a track listing. This mix is what SLO needs in its bar scene. They're still playing bad house mashups of Journey and Phil Collins. Damn. NO MORE SUNGLASSES @ NIGHT!
