Fusion Batches

Finally! The dude of all left coast DJ dudes aka DJ Morse Code finally uploaded his two infamous Fusion Batches mixtapes. I have no idea how hard I looked for these and asked friends if they had any leads to copping them but it seemed like I'd never get them into my possession. Even meeting Morse Code at the Do-Over over the summer and asking him what the deal was with those tapes, he said they'd be re-upped soon and he was in the process of making a third. Anyway, I definitely recommend you download these two mixtapes and listen to them when you're getting cozy with the homegirl Mary Jane or any one of your homegirls in general. They're full of a lot of pristine cuts and syrupy jazz-funk that drips with that yum. High-ly recommended listening!

Lemme take a hit, girl

Finally cranked out a new mix. This one's full of jamz I've had on repeat lately. Perfect for having a sesh, bonding with your significant other or just straight mellow mildin'. Give it a listen.

Post-Bundependence Day

Bundependence Day for me was legit. I got real mellow between all the sangria and grape flavored blazing going on, as my room still smells like swishers. As of late, I've been listening to a lot of Italian shit from the 70s. I swear, the orchestrations they put into their work are real deep when you break down the individualized layers. Every little detail was fanatically crucial then, since you can literally feel the song like it was someone physically massaging down your ears wherever you are. All in all, I've noticed that whenever I play this song, our house bunny wanders into my room and posts up. Bun knows his shit.

Minty Fresh from the Freshly Minted

So I've been on the grind, throwing it down at random gigs around SD and for some odd reason, I'm feelin' minty. Because of that, I decided to throw up two really good mixes I've had on heavy rotation this past week.

The first one is the latest bonus addition DJ Craze's Fabric series mix. It's an added 30 minute set of that real heat. His mixing style is ill and his selection is focused. This is the definition of a complete party set. Check it.

Mood Music

The weather is starting to warm up just a little and the days will start getting longer, so I made a two part mix for the start and end of the day. It's on the mellow tip with some records I haven't given shine in awhile. With limited edition, handmade, cardboard packaging sporting fluorescent red orange stenciling, I broke out the DIY steez for this one. For all the downloaders, you can print out the pic I included to put in your jewel case when you burn this. Each part of this mix is highly recommended for maxing out as the days start to get longer and the nights warmer. This is some down home, kick it on the porch, vibin' music. Do it like Mawkus and keep it green. Califas weather in effect...

MPC'ed Nostalgia

A moment in history: We were lunar, gettin' spiritualized via Foniks' deep beats. Had to record the session we were mellowin' in. So real.

Sorry for not posting up lately, been busy with crazy shit i.e. science conferences full of beautiful Latina women in Kansas City, stayin' up in escuela and gettin' familiar with KSDT. I'll throw up a better post later in the days to come. Stay tuned!

Shout outs to Luis, Carlos, Sara, las boricuas y mi gente en SACNAS que estan haciendo todo en el ciudad! Pa' que sepan!
