As we approach the end of the quarter at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, we're close to closing out the quarter at KCPR. Last week, we were fortunate to have in the studio Audiobit, who's been racking up gig after gig in his short time as a DJ and producer. The show kicks off with his friend and fellow DJ Patch Werk warming up heavy. We hope you enjoy the two DJ's, along with our usual banter and some quality interview time. Huge shout outs to the homie Elan, who I've blogged about before on here, that has a track on this comp. But on the real though, I'm just stoked that this future classic I've had on repeat since day one finally got released.

Bright Lights

Lately, a lot of bass DJs have been playing either the Rockers or Joker mix of this banger but I've only been a fan of the OG slow jam edit with none other than the OG rapper, Big Daddy Kane, droppin' a nice 16. It's definitely a grown and sexy necessity.

Things get heavy this week...dub heavy, that is, as Club 91 welcomes back Nikoo from KCPR's DrubFX dubstep show for another booming onslaught. James Blake is making some eloquently warm existential bass right now that would equate to what dopamine would sound like if flowers could make music. Personally, I can see a lot of his music being the soundtrack to my Sunday lucid dreams. Put the bass on high as you listen to this breath-taker.
