Brodinkski's Best of Everything Vol. 2

One of my homegirls told me I was on an XLR8R compilation earlier on Twitter and I had no idea what she meant. Turns out Brodinski put my Aaliyah blend I posted a while ago on his Best of Everything mix! Go get it!

Aaliyah's Panties

New blend! Shout outs to Lord FoFo with putting me onto the beat. The acapella intro was so necessary for this song. I hope everyone reaches the shore with this one. RIP babygirl.

Paul Johnson's Cousin Believes in Lost Angels

In keeping with the Chicago theme, I've been meaning to let this blend loose. I ripped this record a while back since it's always been a personal favorite of mine and used the instrumental accordingly. There isn't much else to say other than to relish your cloudy days with it. On the real though, I think I'm still riding off the inspiration I got after soundclashing with some gay dude at an intersection blasting some played out Erick Morillo edit of Lady Gaga. But yeah, house music is a feeling so enjoy this.

Summer Sneezin'

This video is something I can't get enough of. System D-128 on the make of this. I think I have a mild crush on Miss A. Anyway, I've been workin' on some mixes, going to school and casually burnin' braincells like the summer keeps insisting me to do. Here's another lil' somethin'-somethin' I put together last week. Enjoy! Stay tuned for more ish coming from me, y'all...

Summertime Goon

Summertime is officially in effect down here in SD. Haven't updated in a minute but I feel like that's a recurring pattern with me so whatevaaa! Anyway, I made this blend the other day because I feel like it encapsulates a lot of what this summer will be about, mainly Weezy's dominion in the commercial hip-hop world and the obvious fact that his second single "Milli" off his latest album has, and will, decimate radiowaves throughout the summer. Go play my blend real loud in the streets to confuse everyone else. Do it!

Oh yeah and here's some hot new shit from Busta. Bangladesh on the production. Dude is murdering it on the bass. Turn your subs up for this!

Disco Couture

Even though I should be studying for this midterm I got on Friday, I made another somethin'-somethin' just because. This one's pretty self-explanatory with Pharrell and Twista on top of a disco dub. Shout outs to bathroom graffiti on the fourth floor of Geisel Library for telling me about Taiwanese vampire love kittens.

Buns gone buck, yo

It's been a minute since posting up on this. Been "hella" busy with mad ish. Anyway, I figured I'd update you all with this quick edit I randomly did up last week in my homegirl's office. Lemme just say that Jodeci's love for all things sensually booty-rific and Stone Pale Ale were involved with this production.

International Players' Atmospheric Strut

Been sleepin' on this one. A blend I did of the UGK and Outkast collabo "International Player's Anthem" on some Cloud One that's on some sippin'-Disaronno-with-your-girl-wearing-velvet type steez. This girl I met at the Frequencies of Love art show I spun at last Friday told me I smelled like one of her dreams. I dedicate this blend to her.

New Year = Big Thangs!

So I was working on something completely different for the last hour (think: French grime) then something just came over me and all the sudden I did this. I love Amel Larrieux so much, especially when she repped Groove Theory back in the day. Anyway, here's the blend I did of Groove Theory's "Tell Me", which is probably one of those eternally amazing and classic R&B songs of all time.

Oh yeah, shout outs to Velanche & Foniks for the epic Voodoo Lounge / Urban Landscapes party last Friday. It was mad ill. For those that missed out, well... you missed out!
